About

We carve
every model
with
purpose.

Carve Model is a Los Angeles-based physical model studio creating architectural models, sales-gallery models, product prototypes, film miniatures, and art maquettes. We build for moments when ideas must be understood, evaluated, approved, or presented with confidence.

Our approach

Built to communicate with purpose.

Every model begins with what it needs to communicate, who needs to understand it, and what decision or experience it must support. These answers guide its scale, content, materials, finishes, and level of detail.

As digital and AI-generated design becomes increasingly abundant, the need to verify what those ideas mean in physical space becomes more important. Physical models provide tangible evidence that people can examine together, understand in real space, and respond to with greater confidence.

What guides our work

Purpose before detail

We define the audience, use, and required decisions before determining scale, content, and finish.

A model the room can understand

We translate complex design information into physical form that technical and nontechnical audiences can understand together.

A process you can trust

Files, milestones, feedback, approvals, and updates are coordinated through a standardized process and the Carve Studio Portal.

Our studio

Built across borders. Managed as one process.

Carve operates as one coordinated model-making team across Los Angeles and China. Our Los Angeles team manages client communication, project planning, approvals, and delivery, while our established fabrication team carries out production. Every stage — from design review and material selection to quality control, packaging, and installation — is managed through a single Carve process.
